Description: WalkFIT Beginner - WalkFIT Beginner is perfect for those who have no desire to run, but still want to be active and healthy. A supportive and trained coach will help participants adopt a regular walking routine and assist them in meeting new fitness partners along the way. Description: It's not about completing your first 5K or committing to the training. It's about changing your mindset, adjusting your lifestyle and becoming the best version of yourself. This is not a "couch to 5K" program you find in the App Store. Fleet Feet Running Club is designed to motivate, educate, and inspire those to do something they previously thought was impossible - complete a 5K. We do that through our incredible Coach's and Mentors who have also been participants and know what it takes to be successful. Yes, you will finish a 5K but we know the true accomplishment of Fleet Feet Running Club is the commitment you will make to yourself - to live a healthier and more fit lifestyle. Fleet Feet Run Club Half Marathon Training - Fall 2018

Program Start: September 25, 2018 @ 6:30pm
Program Schedule: Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 7am
Goal Race: 3M Half Marathon
Program Fee: $100 excluding race fee
Description: The Half Marathon (13.1 miles) training program is designed to further runners towards their fitness and running goals beyond the 5K and 10K distances but runners should be able to run 3-5 miles prior to the training program. It will include an education and practical impact of different training techniques and tools in order to further enjoy running and improve your performance. There will be occasional clinics covering a wide range of topical issues on running, health, wellness and nutrition from the area’s leading experts. The training group will meet on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm and Saturday mornings at 7 am, each session will start from Fleet Feet Sports unless advised in advance. Due to the nature of the training and the distances involved there will be more than one occasion where the training program may take place at alternate locations around Round Rock and Austin. Tuesday night runs will focus on speed or hill work and Saturday runs will focus on building distance. You will also receive a complete weekly schedule with 5 days of workouts listed to help prepare you for the challenge of running 13.1 miles. We may also decide to do a few distance races around town leading up to the goal race, the 3M Half Marathon. All race entries are the responsibility of the participant. The training program will last 16 weeks and will have an information night on September 18, 2018, and the first training run will occur on September 25, 2018.
